I have to say Ray Harryhausen you are and always will be a master craftsman, an illusionist, artist, a creator of fantastic creatures, a God with your hands you had an extraordinary talent of manipulating with your hands that no one else can ever touch and re-capture!!!! This man is so important to me and so many others his shit is bold and badass broke new grounds is my heart always they are not children's movies so many people claimed this. Fuck Gojira '54 and Godzilla, King Of The Monsters '56 to The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms '53. They were influenced by Ray and those 2 got bigger like Ray said it was only a man in a suit I know that was hard I like it a lot but not like stop-motion and not as art and realistic looking. Make it too real as C.G.I as Ray said destroys the dreamworld quality. Some more thoughts on Ray Harryhausen, not one man can ever re-do or top what he did. Out of his 16 Features only 2 every inch is not his animation and he invented so many in-camera effects so ground-breaking and ahead the academy ignored his movies and shit years nothing like that ever on the screen they didn't know how to classify them at all. Finally he got his honorary Oscar in 1993. Too many generations he influenced I could be here all day they don't understand how important there is not one man in the history of cinema behind the camera that left a legacy as Harryhausen! A creator of fantastic creatures and he knew no limits and boundaries with a limitless imagination. I could be here for so long not sure how long either saying who Ray Harryhausen influenced. The man influenced generations upon generations of moviegoers, fans and filmmakers themselves. Even Tom Hanks was a fan he had some comments at the 1993 Academy Awards he said when he was a kid he saw ''Jason And The Argonauts'' '63 and said ''Some say Casablanca or Citizen Kane are the greatest pictures ever made I say Jason And The Argonauts is the greatest picture ever made!'' Tom Hanks also later went on to say ''I want to be Jason the guy fighting the creatures and 7 skeletons in the film that's what I want to do when I grow up!'' All day saying who even Tom Hanks he introduced him before the Oscar and Ray Bradbury his lifelong Pal did a kick ass speech before he got his Oscar said when he was a kid he saw Jason And The Argonauts '63 he said I want to be Jason the guy as an actor fighting the creatures and 7 skeletons that's what I want to do when I grow up. I added more to what Tom said made it sound better man more details lol. Fans know Ray Harryhausen did shit they would never touch or could even achieve!
